AMEB Grade 1 Music Theory Course – Group Class – 2 terms
Google Meet (online lecture) and face to face (onsite) classes simultaneously
You will require a gmail account in order to access Google Meet link. After payment, we will email a link for online classes to this gmail account.
Age range: 6+ years old. Parents and students welcome.
Lesson days:
Friday and Sunday 7pm weekly
Friday and Sunday class each week will teach the same material. If a student misses a class they will be able to rewatch the video or attend the other class that week as it is the same lesson. There will be no make up class as students will have access to video.
Price:
Price: $350 for whole course – cost of textbook, manuscript paper and past year papers included

Add class to cart and pay via bank transfer.
Once parents pay for course, they will receive links to pre-recorded videos and will have access to all videos for the duration of the course.
Pick up class materials from Glen Music Glen Waverley or Glen Music Ashwood after payment.
Course fee does not include examination fee.

Who should learn music theory?
All students learning an instrument are recommended to learn music theory as early as possible.
Benefits of learning music theory:
Learning music theory can further their music knowledge and assist them in the learning of their instrument.
Class outline:
Students will work towards sitting their AMEB grade 1 exam.
Each week students will be expected to watch a video before coming to class. During class homework will be corrected and students will do exercises set by the teacher with the assumption that they have already watched the video for the week. This will also provide an opportunity for students to raise questions with the teacher.
First 15 weeks will use videos and focus on completing the set theory book. The remaining classes will be used for completing past year exams and practice exams. Parents will be asked to sit in on a class to learn how to enrol their children online. Payments for examination will be made directly to AMEB. During the final class of the term students will complete their examination online under supervision. If students do not wish to complete their exam they may enrol in the course again for the next two terms and will be expected to complete their examination at the end of the second time they complete the course. Second enrolment will be $150.
